HOW BRASSEASE WORKS

Brassease is designed to simulate the trumpet fingering on the computer keypad. Brassease consists of eight practice levels and a quiz at the conclusion of each level. More notes are added as you complete a level and progress through the program.

The valves on the trumpet are represented by the number keypad on the computer (as shown by the diagram). When a note appears on the screen, the student enters the correct fingering and proceeds to the next note. By the end of each level the student should be able to respond to each note automatically.

How long will it take to work through the software?
There is unlimited tutoring time with Brassease. This means that you can
work through the levels at your own pace. It is recommended that the entire program would take no more than two months. Of course each trumpet player is different and will progress at different speeds. If there is a need to review or revise some fingering you can easily go back through the program.

What level will it elevate the student to?
At the end of Brassease you will have 18 different fingerings/notes
mastered. This is the equilivant to a years work in current learner method
books. While you know all the fingering, you will still have to build up the
lip stamina.

Suited to what age level?
Brassease suites students of all ages, who are learning, or students who need help with their fingering. Many teachers and students have found it of great benifit to use Brassease as a revision tool as well.
